Butoh workshop: Teatro Del Montevaso, Chianni, Pisa, Toscana (Italy)

The Montevaso Theatre, housed in a natural park of 300 acres in the province of Pisa just 25 minutes from the sea, will be the forum to work with Masaki Iwana in a bright room with views of the hills – the ideal spot to relax and immerse in nature and work. In this context, suggestive of a theatre in the countryside, there are 4 apartments in the structure of the White House made available to participants, all from 2/4/6 beds, interior trim in wood or stone brickwork.

The formula for the 5 day residential workshop in which we practice together and live together, can help to approach the depth of work proposed by Masaki Iwana's Butoh which will be known in this way – for those who confront him for the first time – and depth for those who have already practiced. The workshop is structured in a way that allows the participants to also enjoy the surrounding nature, and allow each according to his desire to walk in the woods enjoying the sun, visit the surrounding areas, rest.

Fee: €310 for 5 days

The cost includes the workshop, accommodation for 4 nights, self-catering (use of the kitchen). Each participant is asked to bring bed linens (or sleeping bag) and towels. It is also recommended for those coming by car to bring a base cost (1 packet of pasta, a pack of rice, cous cous, 1 box tomatoes, vegetables, fruit, olive oil, salt) to be shared with other participants. You can go shopping for fresh food in the nearest town which is 4km from Montevaso.
